Aftercare
The concept of aftercare is very important for the successful social re-integration of the institutionalized children into the mainstream society. While their capacity has been built up to certain extent for them to stand on their feet, the transition to self-reliance can be very challenging. This project aims at hand-holding them as they enter the world of work. So far 169 young adults who were in institutional care in the Snehalaya Homes have benefitted from this project initiated in 2012.
- To enable the children to lead an honest, industrious and useful life.
- To inculcate values and teach life skills, which will make them responsible members of the society.
- To prepare them for social re-integration and mainstreaming.
This project is funded mostly by Childaid Network and partially by the Government .
