Snehalaya Children Home for Boys, Dhirenpara
Snehalaya Boys Home at Dhirenpara is the birthplace of Snehalaya established on January 1, 2001. It is meant for boys in the age group of 13-16 years with a seat capacity of 45.
The facilities provided include a playground which with a basketball court.
The Home has a professional counselor for the children. Computer classes, tutorials are available in the home. All the boys attend government schools.
There are two units of Samagra Siksha Abhjan (SSA) at Dhirenpara in the Snehalaya Campus. About 150 children attend this SSA centre.
These centre serves as a pre-formal school. The school dropouts or the children who have never been to school are taught in the SSA centre .
The age limit is 7 years – 14 years. The syllabuses of classes I, to V of Assamese Government School are taught here. After that the students are main-steamed into formal schools.
